Indicator Candidate Traits for Autonomous Fruit Set Ability Under High Temperatures in <i>Capsicum</i>

چکیده

Abstract “Autonomous fruit set” refers to self-pollination and set without pollen vectors such as vibration or insects. Autonomous under high-temperature stress is an important breeding goal climate change can reduce yields in Capsicum . We screened cultivars for autonomous ability a greenhouse environment investigated germination, viability, grains number, chlorophyll fluorescence (Fv/Fm), style length, anther cone anthesis stage high temperatures order identify indicator traits screening more genotypes with ability. The of the ‘Takanotsume’ (57.7 ± 20.6%) ‘Goshiki Kyokko’ (52.2 14.2%) (both C. annuum ) were higher than those other cultivars. Correlation analysis showed that germination had highest correlation (r = 0.63). These results indicate are useful novel programs focusing on sets temperatures, was convincing candidate trait temperatures.
